FTA Member Webinars bring industry experts directly to an audience of flexographers who are eager to listen and learn. Moderated by FTA staff, webinars cover topics spanning all areas of the flexographic industry, including ink basics and metering, prototyping and proofing, color theory and consistency, mounting tape optimization, the future of corrugated packaging, printed electronics, doctor blade metering, controlling press bounce, sustainability and more.

Each webinar lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Attendees are able to listen on any internet-connected device, or over the phone. Question breaks occur several times, allowing the presenter to pause and expand on any portion of their topic or deep dive into the minutia of a particular subject.

Color Management for Flexography"

The 2017 FLEXO Magazine Cover Project was the most ambitious to date. Designed to highlight the three 2017 FTA Technical Innovation Award winners in a production environment, it combined digital and flexo, LED-exposed plates with LED-cured ink, and process color with spot. Color requirements were tight. The flexo had to match the digital, they both had to match the proof, and all three had to match GRACoL2013. CMYK were curved using the G7 process and Reflex Blue was curved to match linear Spot Color Tone Value (SCTV).
